为庆祝4月26日的世界知识产权日，世界知识产权组织计划开展系列活动，包括于4月26日举办线上庆祝主活动，以及携手世界各地举行多元化的分活动。本期文章重点介绍主活动中的案例研究项目，欢迎大家的关注和参与！

WIPO plans to organize campaign events to celebrate the World Intellectual Property Day (WIPD) 2021. The events will be built around a “hub and spoke” concept with a virtual hub event led by the HQ and series of spoke events tailored to the local audiences. This article looks at the Case Studies session as part of the hub event and introduces ways for our readers to participate!

结合今年世界知识产权日的主题，即，知识产权和中小企业——把创意推向市场，案例研究项目聚焦中小企业知识产权优秀案例，希望帮助全球中小企业界认识知识产权与其业务之间的紧密联系。

Under the theme of WIPD 2021, i.e., IP and SMEs: taking your ideas to market, we are looking for inspiring and compelling SME stories and develop them into case studies, so as to raise awareness among the global SME community about the relevance of IP to their business.

这些案例将揭示知识产权如何协助企业实现商业目标，并将在一定程度上体现以下主题内容：

    # 知识产权评估

    # 知识产权融资(包括抵押)

    # 知识产权许可(包括特许经营和销售)

    # 知识产权侵权

These case studies demonstrate how IP can support business goals and will reflect, in some way, the following themes:

    # IP valuation

    # IP finance (incl. collateral)

    # IP licensing (incl. franchising/merchandising)

    # IP infringement

案例内容可涵盖专利、商标、版权、外观设计、地理标志等知识产权相关领域，阐释知识产权的商业价值，以及知识产权在为企业实现商业目标、创造商业机会、提供竞争优势，以及打击侵权行为方面的重要作用。

In the case studies, which can cover a wide range of IP fields such as patents, trademarks, copyright, industrial design and GIs, companies showcased will highlight the following: a) IP has business value; b) importance of developing an IP strategy that aligns with business objectives; c) IPRs can create business opportunities and d) how IP can help defend a company's competitive advantage / tackle infringers.

除了总部举办的庆祝主活动，优秀案例还有机会在世界知识产权组织网站或世界知识产权组织杂志中刊登，广泛传播并分享中小企业的智慧和创造力，把创意推向市场。

Besides the hub event, the case studies may also be developed and posted on WIPO website and the special focus issue of theWIPO Magazine to celebrate and share the ingenuity and creativity behind every SME, taking ideas to market.
